1) What type of glass do you use in your glass office walls?
Depending on the product you choose, our glass office walls use 10mm (3/8") or 12 mm (1/2") tempered or laminated glass with the option for low-iron and tempered-laminated glass.
Our moodwall P1 and P2 use a single pane of glass, while P4 and P5 offer the option of double glass (or a mix of glass and a solid panel, such as melamine, laminate, wood veneer, back-painted glass or other options).
Options for laminated, tempered and tempered-laminated give you the level of safety and strength you require for the space. Low-iron glass offers superior transparency and clarity.
2) How tall can our glass office walls be? What's the max height?
With moodwall, you can create glass walls up to 20 feet (6m) high. More precisely, our moodwall P5 glass wall systems allow heights up to 20 feet, while P1, P2 and P4 offer heights up to 10 feet (3m). Heights above 10 feet (3m) with these systems are possible upon consultation.
We can work with you to select the right product and height for your space, whether you are looking for floor-to-ceiling options, freestanding walls, or low-profile glass walls for workstations and cubicles.
3) What about door hardware? Who supplies it?
This is completely up to you. We offer a variety of high-quality door hardware that we can supply, including hardware that is exclusive to moodwall, such as:
- SEREmortise lock for glass slab doors
- KERE 60” locking ladder pull with SFIC 7-pin interchangeable core
- SEJO cylindrical lockset for glass slab doors
- INTEC sliding door with soft close soft open option
- HH2 Hydraulic hinge with soft close and hold open option
- BH3 Butt hinge for glass slab doors
Our moodwall systems are compatible with more than 90% of all door hardware, including electric strikes, maglocks, pull handles and more. Simply let us know which models you would like to use, and we will confirm the compatibility. And, if you need help acquiring specialty hardware, we can often source it for you.
4) Are the walls demountable?
Absolutely – this is one of the greatest benefits of using Rampart's moodwall systems. Our glass office walls can be easily demounted, moved and reconfigured while reusing up to 100% of the components, giving you the flexibility to adjust your workspace to fit your changing needs. Plus, you can integrate the walls with different materials and partitions for nearly endless design possibilities.
